Two jazz musicians from two different continents meet in Berlin to perform some beautifull compositions of Wayne Shorter, Joe Henderson and other jazz impressionists.

American pianist, Joel Holmes began teaching himself tunes by ear at age 10. Over the last several years, he has toured the world with Grammy winning jazz trumpeter Roy Hargrove, vocalist Nnenna Freelon. He is currently in the Quartet of the great Saxophonist Javon Jackson who is an ex jazz Messenger with Art Blakey. Joel Holmes has performed all over the world solo,duos and with his trios.

Swiss flautist, Linda Jozefowski, studied jazz flute at the HEMu (University of Music) of Lausanne. She is performing regularly with her own project in trio and other different bands, in Berlin and abroads. She had the occasion to play with Olivier Hutman, Sarah Lazarus, Malcolm Braff, Reggie Jonson, Jaques Schwartz-Bart, Ian Anderson. Her discography include the album “Special” by La Velle (2010, EN FACE), the  album “Friends” of François Lindemann (2011) and her first own project “For my dead folks” (UNIT RECORDS 2011).  http://www.lindajozefowski.com

Passando per una vasta gamma di influenze stilistiche – da complessità ritmiche ispirate alla musica classica indiana ad ambienti funk e grooves drum’n’bass- la flautista ticinese Linda Jozefowski ha dato forma ad una serie di composizioni originali adattate in chiave jazzistica. Il suo primo album, uscito l’anno scorso con il suo quartetto insieme al vibrafonista Jean-Lou Treboux, si intitola “For My Dead Folks” (Unit Records 2011).
In questa nuova configurazione, il Trio si propone di esplorare nuove vie di interpretazione delle loro composizioni.
